With live Music 7 nights a week in season, both locals and visitors alike flock to Lowry’s to enjoy what is the authentic Irish music pub experience!

As a recent winner of the “Best Traditional Bar in Ireland” at the prestigious National Hospitality Awards. Lowry’s Bar Clifden can rightly claim to be one of the best traditional music bars in the Country!

The Carey's

The musical Carey’s are frequently heard in the various bars and hotels of the bustling tourist town of Clifden, The Capital of Connemara, where tourists and locals alike can enjoy their talents to the full. some of their most popular sessions in Lowry’s Bar were the locations for a series of live recordings made during the winter of 2015/16.

The recording of their CD The Carey’s Live in Clifden is their unique representation of some popular traditional Irish folk and Ballads and includes three new songs, The Spires of Clifden, written by Jackie Coyne from Mullaghgloss, near Renvyle and two songs written by Peter Carey Sr, My Island Home and The Fishing licence song, the story of the Irish fishing licence saga of 1987 which was broadcast at the time by RTE but not recorded until now.

Vocals, Guitars, Banjo, Mandolin and bass and Harmonica. Peter Carey Sr, Peter Carey Jr and Michael Carey the list of talents are endless with these guys.
